Okinawa Electric Scooter:
Okinawa Autotech Pvt. Ltd. ,the 100% electric Indian two wheeler company, that has launched more electric scooter models in India than any other companies till date has launched it’s newest e scooter Okhi 90 on the 24th of March. According to sources,it is the highest ranged e scooter of the company in terms of both speed and range and will bring heavy competitions to the other e scooters presently running on the roads.
The Okhi 90 Price:
The new e scooter Okhi 90 will be in the category of ‘Lithium ion High Speed’ of the company,after the successful launch of Ipraise and Ridge. Okhi 90 has a range between 170 kms to 200 kms in a single charge with the top speed of around 80 kms to 90 kms/h. Both the range and speed will be far ahead than the other models.
Okhi 90 has ex show room price in Pan India of 121,866 INR. The price is after FAME 2 subsidy. Registration charges will be extra. For each states the price will be different and can vary from Ten to Fifteen Thousand INR.The pre booking amount is 2000 INR.
The Look and Specs:
The Okhi 90 is claimed to be charged upto 80 percent in an hour. The scooter has e a wide front apron with led indicators and led headlamp and taillamp alongwith alloy wheels.It has been armed with e-sim technology and smartphone application with navigation,geo fencing, AI supported rider behaviour analysis,e calling facilities and other state of the art futuristic technologies.It will also have battery swapping facilities.

Yet Okinkawa will face competitions with the existing e-scooter like HEROelectric scooters, Ather 450x, that has 80 km/h speed with a certified range of 116 km with GNSS and AGPS and 4G connectivity and mobile app feature and is priced around 1.5 lakh INR. On the other hand Ola S1 has a top speed of 90km/h and True range of 121km with cruise control and hill hold with a attractive price of 99,999 INR and Ola S1 Pro has a max speed of 115 km/h with a range of 181 km in a single charge and is priced around 1.3 lakh INR. Another competitor, the wonderfully stunning looking Bajaj Chetak e-scooter claims of having a range of 90 km with fully steel frame and body and max speed of 70 km/h. It also has remote keyless on and off and many other features and is priced around 1.4K INR, ex showroom. All of these companies claim to provide their customers the best experience of what a e-scooter can provide. It seems that the future is green on Indian roads with such premium two-wheelers undoubtedly with such varieties of choices.
